I don't quite understand how the doctor gave you a diagnosis of adenomeiosis after a test on your hip? What was the procedure?

My periods weren't that heavy, just very very painful.

Only your doctor would be able to tell you if you were less likely to have children. I had a baby after my diagnosis, but my doctor said there was no reason to suspect I would have difficulty.

I would get a second opinion if you can. The only true way to diagnose adenomyosis is to have a hysterectomy. A well trained OB/GYN can diagnose it based on your clinical history and a few other tests can help form an opinion but that is all really. I too wonder how he came at that conclusion based on a hip test.

Hi there i was told 2 years ago when i started to have a niggle on my left side. Havent really been told it was just considered, the pain has started again so im off to the doctor next week to see what they say. I have struggled with sore periods and bowl moment sometimes will have me bending over in pain. Im 36 and have had 2 children, have no idea how long i have had this i can remember high school was painfull and i ended up taking the pill and not letting myself have periods.my cousin said she had similar but said it was endo.hopefully going to a different doctor next might give me some different answers
